Thursday 27th: Lecture at the Stupa in Benalmadena wih Lama Ole Nydahl
Thursday 27th: Mahakala initiation at the Stupa in Benalmadena with Shamar Rinpoche
Friday 28th until Sunday 30th: Teachings in Karma Guen with Shamar Rinpoche on the text “The Path To Awakening”.

We are very happy to to invite you for a great program in Karma Guen this year. The spring course will take place from Saturday May 22nd until Sunday May 30th, 2010.

For more than 20 years Lama Ole Nydahl has been giving the special Phowa course at Karma Guen. This year he will give the 5 day Phowa course from Saturday 22nd until Wednesday 26th. This practice on conscious dying is considered among the highest Buddhist practices. If you wish to participate in this event please first take contact to your local Buddhist group to get details on how to prepare.

On May 27th Shamar Rinpoche and Lama Ole Nydahl will be at the stupa in Benalmadena. Lama Ole will give teachings in the morning and Shamar Rinpoche will give the initiation of Mahakala (Black Coat) in the afternoon.

From Friday 28th until Sunday 30th Shamar Rinpoche will give teachings and Bodhisattva promise in Karma Guen. Rinpoche has offered to teach on the text “The Path To Awakening”. The full program will be as follows:

  • Thursday 27th: Lecture at the Stupa in Benalmadena wih Lama Ole Nydahl
  • Thursday 27th: Mahakala initiation at the Stupa in Benalmadena with Shamar Rinpoche
  • Friday 28th until Sunday 30th: Teachings in Karma Guen with Shamar Rinpoche on the text “The Path To Awakening”.

 

The prices for the course will be the same as the last years and includes Course Fee, Food And Accommodation/camping.

  • Normal: 38 Euro per day
  • Payment before April 15th: 32 Euro per day
  • Supporters, Eastern Europe and Latin America: 25 Euro per day
  • Children aged 4-14: 18 Euro per day
  • 2nd parent: 18 Euro per day
  • Full day at Benalmadena: 48 Euro per day

Karma Guen is located in the beautiful mountains near Velez-Malaga. Therefore please remember to bring your tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, any thing you might need for personal use and as usual you good humor. By the way a good suncream to protect your skin could come in handy :-)
